Life Happened

This was my first tornado, and one that I’ll never ever forget.

It started like any other day in the southeast of the Americas. Grey clouds cover the sky as the temperature rises and the warm wind blows. When it starts to get hot and muggy most North Carolina residents instinctively know that it’s going to rain. This time though it was a bit different.

Now as an inner-city girl growing up in the south-central region of Los Angeles our worse weather is a case of thunderstorms and lightning. You’re told, “Stay indoors and or don’t risk go outside”, especially with an umbrella easy enough.

However, what if you like rain?

If you’re like me and like to see the trees sway, the transition of different colors in the sky and enjoy the sound of the rain hitting the pavement. Do you like the sound of rain hitting the house?

In my normal fashion I opened the door to enjoy that nice breeze that comes with that first rain drops.

It’s a wonderful breeze.

Food for thought. I love to eat what I grow in my garden and live to write about it. My new mantra is quality over quantity for Healthy Living
